Planar and Regional Gates
Major cities usually have a regional gate. These gates take travelers and merchants anywhere from 200 – 1,000 miles in less than 1/4 of the time it would normally take. However, travelers are to be especially wary in the regional gates, because they still cut through all planes at once, but do not have the rigorous safeguards that the long-distance planar gates do. If a group moving through a regional gate does not keep its collective cool, one or any of them may be pulled into any place imaginable.
